Beta programme.
TechieCRM is in its Beta programme for invited and approved clients until 31 January 2027. Free use of the Beta ended on 15 October 2026, and subscription pricing applies. The desktop app follows the same scheme as the cloud workspace:

Free use ended on 15 October 2026. To carry on,
choose a plan; nothing is deleted. Beta builds are still the current
builds and are offered below until 31 January 2027, when TechieCRM
moves to its production release. Each build also has its own expiry date, which the app
shows every time it opens.
The desktop app connects to your cloud workspace, works offline, and
syncs automatically. Choose your platform below.
TechieCRM is in its Beta programme.
When a new phase begins, older-phase builds stop working and the app
tells you so on launch and links you here for the current version.
Your data, settings and database are never affected by a build
expiring.
Your first launch will show a security warning, and that is expected.
These builds are not yet signed with an extended-validation certificate, so:
- Windows: SmartScreen says "Windows protected your PC". Choose
More info, then Run anyway.
- macOS: right-click the app and choose Open, then
Open again. Double-clicking will not work the first time.
- Linux:
chmod +x TechieCRM-*.AppImage, then run it.
Signed builds are coming. Until then the warning is your operating system
saying it does not recognise a new publisher, not that anything is wrong with the file.
You do not need a licence key to look around.
Without one TechieCRM opens read-only: you can open and read every
record, and creating, editing and deleting are disabled until a key is activated.
Your data is never locked away from you on your own computer.
What you need: a computer that meets the
System requirements shown under each platform below, and access to your
CRM's SQL Server. The Microsoft ODBC Driver 18 is installed automatically on Windows if you
do not already have it.
Why the desktop app is still in Beta.
Two things are true at once: we're still wrapping up testing, and we're waiting on the
code-signing certificate for each operating system before it can carry one. Until a platform's
certificate is issued, that platform's installer is still fully safe to use, but your operating
system or antivirus software may warn that it's from an "unrecognized" or "unidentified" publisher.
Installing it is at your own discretion until the certificate lands. As each platform's
certificate is added, that warning goes away for good, and we'll email every registered individual
and company to let them know.
macOS
No macOS build published yet.
System requirements
- A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) only. It will not open on an Intel Mac.
- macOS 13 (Ventura) or later. TechieCRM's own database needs macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later; on macOS 13 it runs with the database features switched off.
How to check: Apple menu > About This Mac. The Chip line should name an Apple M-series chip, and the macOS version is shown at the top.
Windows
No Windows build published yet.
System requirements
- 64-bit Windows. 32-bit Windows is not supported.
- Windows 10 version 1809 / Windows Server 2019 (build 17763) or later, or Windows 11. Older Windows, such as Windows 10 version 1607 or Windows Server 2016, cannot run it, and the installer will refuse to install.
How to check: press Windows + R, type winver and press Enter. The build number must be 17763 or higher. Settings > System > About shows whether Windows is 64-bit (System type).
Linux
No Linux build published yet.
System requirements
- A 64-bit Intel or AMD processor (x86_64). There is no build for ARM Linux.
- Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04 (or a similar distribution with OpenSSL 3).
How to check: in a terminal, uname -m must print x86_64.

Mobile Apps
The TechieCRM mobile apps are built and submitted. We're waiting on final approval from
Apple and Google to publish them. As soon as each store approves, the app goes live and
we'll email every registered individual and company to let them know.
